where vintage organic hard ciders and fruit brandies are made by hand on an organic, 250-acre hilltop, family farm with lovely, panoramic views of the White Mountains in neighboring New Hampshire.
At Flag Hill, founders Sabra Ewing and Sebastian Lousada have planted acres of orchards over the last 35 years, with more than 80 old and new varieties of cider apples. Wild apples are also extensively used.
Sebastian began making traditional country wines in his native England when he was 12. He now oversees the entire wine making process, managing the winery and the orchards, where the cider apples used to make all of Flag Hill Farms unique products are nurtured.
Sabra, the founder of VerShare, a community organization dedicated to improving life in the small town of Vershire, Vermont, has deep roots in sustainable rural living. Sabra manages Flag Hill Farm's Sales & Marketing and networks with retailers and restaurateurs throughout Vermont.
